I spent a lot of time reading this book by Florence Schovel Shinn called, "The Game of Life and How To Play It". I tell you she gives good affirmations and real life examples of how to play the game. It really is a game. When she said, that the more spiritual you become those good luck charms do not work. I find that to be true. But, what I really found after reading the book for the 20th time is that right in the beginning she tells you how your destiny is usually shown to you in a flash, like a ticker going across your mind but you don't believe it because it appears as something that is impossible that you can do. Oh, my! Now, how many times has that happen to you? It has happened to me plenty of times. All you have to do is go back to some old photos, videos, diary that you have from the ages of the time when you were a babe to your 8th grade year. There you will find your destiny and why your not doing it or why you are doing it. Or, maybe it will take some more time and probing for you to figure it out. But, nevertheless it is there. There was a millionaire who once said, that when he did that exercise. He found that he did everything his mentor did. His mentor wrote 5 books and so did he and on and on. Who is your mentor? Go back and look at the pictures and see who influenced you in your past or right now. Those people and your environment is the result of who you are to this day. You either like where you are or you may want to change it. The good news is you control your life. Your environment and those people who impressed on your mind do not determine your future. You and only you determine your future. Isn't that awesome. We have been taught to blame everything and everybody else for our problems that we created. And I am here to tell you, when you do these things, it's puts you in the poverty mindset and you will never have anything "good" thinking like that. The power of your mind is so powerful that when you change your thinking, you change your life. The power of your word is also just as powerful, change your words, change your life. I posted the full video of the audiobook by http://librivox.org/ The young lady that reads the book is Amy Conger she is awesome.
I wish she would read more books. Because that girl sure can read. There are links below on my blog where you can download the book for free. Read it and re-read it. Every time you read it, you learn something new. I still listen and/or read it to this day. Even if it's just for 10 minutes.
